From June 13th to 15th, 2023, Li Liangqiu, Executive Vice President of the CNHFA, attended the International Alliance of Dietary/Food Supplement Associations (IADSA) 2023 Annual Board Meeting and related activities in Copenhagen, Denmark. CNHFA is the exclusive member representing China in the IADSA.
IADSA was founded in 1998 to meet the increasing global demand for expertise and knowledge in the field of supplements. As the leading international voice of the supplement industry, it has consistently facilitated the exchange of best practices among its member associations and companies worldwide, aiming to contribute to the development of public policies and regulations across the globe.
During the IADSA 2023 Annual Board Meeting, all members participated in voting on the annual projects, objectives, and budget.
Concurrently, the World Supplement Forum and the Annual Week, organized by IADSA, took place, providing additional opportunities for engagement and collaboration.
On June13th, the World Supplement Forum gathered influential leaders from the global dietary supplement industry who share a commitment to fostering healthier and more resilient societies. The forum served as a platform for discussions on accelerating the achievement of the UN's policy goals. During the event, an initiative was introduced, focusing on the establishment of a collaborative platform for knowledge sharing, learning, and advisory purposes.
The Annual Week took place on June 14-15, bringing together industry representatives from Europe, America, Asia, Oceania, Africa, and other regions and continents. During the event, participants had the opportunity to share their insights and perspectives on various topics, including "Breakthrough Change," "Green Vision," "Strategic Development," and more.
Li Liangqiu, Executive Vice President of the CNHFA, presented "the Evolution of China's Food Supplement Market and Regulatory Challenges in Regulation and Policy" at the conference, amplifying the Chinese voice within IADSA.
Li Liangqiu provided a comprehensive overview of China's dietary supplement market, encompassing health food and functional food. She delved into the intricacies of relevant regulatory policies, shed light on the latest industry trends, and offered insights into future development directions. Additionally, She shared the CNHFA's proactive endeavors in advancing the special food industry through government projects, association standardization, consumer education, and branding activities.
