The CNHFA’s Session on Policies and Laws and Regulations of Special Food and the 7th Open Class in Wuxi_Local Updates_News and Media

　　The CNHFA held the session on policies and laws and regulations of special food and the 7th open class in Wuxi on 8th May. The class is around the management of infant formula and food for special medical purposes(FSMP). More than 400 people joined the class including heads of supervision department of food for special medical purposes in Jiangsu Provincial Bureau of Market Supervision, Wuxi Municipal Bureau of Market Supervision and CNFHA’s member companies.

　　Xuecong Liu, secretary-general of the CNHFA, Hanxing Feng, deputy inspector of Jiangsu Provincial Bureau of Market Supervision, Zhi Zhuang deputy director general of Wuxi Municipal Bureau of Market Supervision, Guo Guizhen, secretary-general of Jiangsu Health Food And Cosmetic Safety Association(JSHFCSA) gave speeches respectively.

Jie Long, vice director of infant formula unit of FSMP safety supervision department of State Administration for Market Regulation introduced the safety supervision requirement of infant formula and FSMP. Shaowei Deng, FSMP registration department of Center for Drug evaluation explained the key points of the registration and technical evaluation for FSMP and the main problems of the application and registration. Xuecong Liu, secretary-general of the CNHFA talked about the development opportunity and the challenge of infant formula and FSMP industry. Dong Liang, vice researcher of the second applied nutrition unit of China National Center for Food Safety Risk Assessment (CFSA) elaborated the revision progress of the national food safety standard for infant formula and FSMP. Yujun Jiang, vice-chairman of the CNHFA and professor of Northeast Agriculture University introduced the system inspection of companies producing infant formula; Xiaohong Chen, professor of Nanjing Agriculture University presented the industrial analysis and the key points of license examination. Zujian Chen, medical director of NUTRICIA and representative of the executive member of the CNHFA and Jiangnan Liu, APAC research and development director of Danone talked about the clinical application and R&D trend of FSMP.

　　The CNHFA will still focus on the government’s laws and regulations and the industry’s main problems of health food, infant formula, FSMP, infant complementary food, other special diet and raw material to carry out sessions, trainings and analyses on polices, institutions, laws and regulations of market access, production and operation, supervision and spot check, advertisement law enforcement and industrial development for the development of the industry.
