On February 28th, the General Administration of Market Regulation commissioned the China Nutrition and Health Food Association to hold a health food label symposium for consumers in order to understand their needs and suggestions for health foods labeling. More than 20 psychologists and representatives of old, middle and young consumers from different industries attended the symposium.
At the meeting, consumers filled out the questionnaire on health food awareness and consumption habits, and put forward personal opinions and suggestions on label management. The psychologist also exchanged relevant opinions and made effective suggestions on public health needs and consumer psychology. The regulatory authorities said that they attached great importance to consumer opinions and suggestions, and relevant recommendations would be taken back and studied seriously. Consumers’ perception, acceptance and opinions are very important considerations for the laws and regulations construction.
The CNHFA will continue to cooperate with the State Administration of Market Regulation to implement relevant label management policies and do a good job in collecting industry opinions and suggestions.
