Research on Implementation Principles for Post-market Safety Evaluation of Health Foods under the “Double-No” Certificate Renewal Framework Successfully Concludes

On 14 November, the final acceptance meeting for the research project Research on Implementation Principles for Post-market Safety Evaluation of Health Foods under the “No expiration date and no technical product requirements (referred to as 'double-no')” Certificate Renewal Framework was held at Jiangnan University. The project was commissioned by the Food Evaluation Centre of the State Administration for Market Regulation (SAMR) and undertaken by the CNHFA.


Participants included Xin Mingtong, Level I Researcher at the Health Food Registration Division of the Department of Special Food Safety Supervision, SAMR; Liu Hongyu, Director of the Health Food Function Evaluation Division of the Centre for Food Evaluation; Sa Yi, Director of the Health Food Safety Evaluation Division; and other officials and experts. Also in attendance were Fu Lili, Party Secretary of the School of Food Science at Jiangnan University; Lu Wenwei, Vice Dean of the School of Food Science and Deputy Director of the National Engineering Research Centre for Functional Foods; Li Liangqiu, Executive Vice President of the CNHFA; Lu Youfeng, Director of the CNHFA Regulatory Affairs Department; and representatives from Jiangnan University and the National Engineering Research Centre for Functional Foods.


The CNHFA project team presented a final report on the study, with in-depth discussion focusing on survey work and implementation principles for post-market safety evaluation. Professor Lv Guiyuan of Zhejiang Chinese Medical University, Professor Zhang Lishi of the West China School of Public Health at Sichuan University, Zhong Weijian, Deputy Director of the Shanghai Centre for Disease Control and Prevention, and Professor Ye Xingqian of Zhejiang University conducted a comprehensive review of the report, put forward constructive recommendations, and approved the project’s final acceptance.
