Updated:2020-05-18
At the critical moment of the whole nation uniting their efforts to combat the COVID-19 epidemic, the CNHFA and the China Children and Teenagers' Foundation (hereinafter referred to as "CCTF") jointly launched the public welfare campaign of "Preventing Coronavirus Infection and Ensuring Infants' Nutritional Needs", in order to implement the spirit and work plan of the Party Central Committee, the State Council, and the All-China Women's Federation, and to safeguard and maintain the safety and health of our people, especially families with infants.

The project aims to mobilize social forces and care for families with pregnant women and infants in COVID-19 severely affected areas. Specifically, it focuses on donating infant formula milk powder and infant formula complementary food to families who have difficulties in breastfeeding and lack supplies due to the impact of the epidemic, so that the nutritional needs and health of infants can be protected. The project is planned to be carried out in Huanggang, Xiaogan, Xianning, Yichang, Ezhou and other cities in Hubei Province, and will be gradually extended to other regions affected by the epidemic if implemented successfully.

The Association is responsible for coordinating qualified donations from enterprises, the CCTF for the reception of the donations, and the Women ’s Federation in local regions for formulating material distribution plans, distributing the donations, and collecting feedback according to the actual local needs for epidemic prevention and control. Since the public welfare campaign of "Preventing Coronavirus Infection and Ensuring Infants' Nutritional Needs" was launched, the Association has made full use of the industry's resources, and vigorously mobilized the majority of member institutions to participate in the campaign, which has received a positive response from donor enterprises. Member institutions showed their social responsibility at this critical moment of fighting COVID-19 and their deep concern for the health and well-being of infants through this donation project.

The Association and all its member institutions have been committed to responding to the call of the Party Central Committee, actively fighting the epidemic, paying attention to the nutritional needs of special groups, and demonstrating corporate social responsibility. Meanwhile, every member is actively participating in our donation campaigns and other projects, reflecting their care for the society. Here, the Association wants to thank these members again for your support!
